ARTISTS - WIN YOUR SCHOOL A PRIZE!

This year’s floral art competition is open to all pupils of schools in the borough and promises a prize to the school attended by the winner of each of five age categories, from under five years up to sixth form. In addition to a commemorative certificate to display each school will receive a £50 garden centre voucher.

Each winning pupil, plus two runners-up in each age category, will also win a surprise pack of art materials for themselves. The painting judged best overall will be used to illustrate a special poster for libraries and elsewhere which publicises Richmond in Bloom’s summer gardening and floral display competitions for residents and businesses.

We are looking for a painting which is colourful and eye-catching and also shows an observation of natural blooms, with artistic merit. The award winning best 15 will go on public display at events in the borough.
Many schools in the borough adopt the competition as a class project and send in their best entries. But all pupils can also send in their own individual paintings and a special closing date for these, allowing Easter holiday time as an opportunity to work on it, is Monday 15 April 2019.

The competition is sponsored by Achieving for Children. Full information and all terms and conditions are available to download here.
