WORMERIES CAN TURN UP AWARDS

Creating ponds, wormeries, fruit and vegetable plots and wildlife areas are among the projects in which many of the borough’s schools encourage pupils to take part, making use of their school grounds as a learning environment.

Their enterprise is recognised by Richmond Borough in Bloom in an annual competition, sponsored by Squire’s Garden Centre, to award a trophy for the best usage of grounds and pupil participation, with prizes of garden centre vouchers for those schools in the first three places.

Entry is open now, and this year a £50 Garden Centre voucher will be sent immediately to the first 10 schools whose entries are received by Richmond Borough in Bloom.

Full details have been circulated to all borough schools and can be found HERE.
