RICHMOND BOROUGH IN BLOOM CLOSES

Having completed 30 years of encouraging floral enhancement of the Borough through competitions for residents, businesses and schools, the committee took the decision in January 2020 to close down the programme.

2019 MERIT AWARDS CEREMONY

Gardening enthusiast Julie Burdon from Barnes, a first time entrant in the Merit Award competitions run by Richmond Borough in Bloom, achieved a double triumph, coming top in the Front Gardens category (sponsored by Squires Garden Centres) and also winning the Richmond & Twickenham Times trophy.

From one of the largest number of entries ever received, Richmond Borough in Bloom judges have awarded 146 Merit Awards this year across the 10 categories covering front gardens, residential frontages, estates, community buildings, pubs and shop fronts.

GET GROWING - IT’S BLOOM TIME AGAIN

Entries are now invited for this year’s Richmond Borough in Bloom gardening competitions in 10 different categories for residents and business. Judging to RHS standards will take place in July, after which entrants will learn if they have achieved one of the Merit Awards (Gold, Silver Gilt, Silver or Bronze) or been chosen the overall winner of their category.
